                                                                  Biographical Information
Since moving to the DFW region, my office has proudly served the Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village, The Colony, Carrollton, and Lake Dallas areas in counseling, psychotherapy, supervisions, and consultation.
I began my professional counseling experience in 1999.  I have worked previously as a therapist with juvenile delinquent incarcerated youth, incarcerated adults, psychiatric head injured patients, as an elementary school counselor, and as a secondary school counselor.  Prior to my experience in psychotherapy, I worked as a special education teacher and coached football, basketball and track and field at the middle school and high school levels, and track and field at the university level.  I also currently teach graduate level (masters and doctoral) counseling courses at an area University.

Licenses and Certificates
I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor in the state of Texas, while also holding a National Counselor Certification.

Working Population
I have professional counseling experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, families, and groups.

I have worked therapeutically with a diverse population on a number of concerns, with specializations in the following areas:  anger management, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, loss, stress, self-esteem, pre-marital, parenting, divorce, domestic violence, social skills, and etc. 

Theoretical Model
I practice primarily from a cognitive model and treat every client in a safe and non-judgemental manner, while encouraging emotional growth via a wholeness / wellness orientation.  I also work from a faith-based, Christian orientation.

Consultation Services
Additionally, I provide consultation services and trainings to organizations in the areas of ethics, multicultural / diversity sensitivty, suicide awareness / prevention, team building, and etc.

I enjoy public speaking, teaching, writing, and serving my profession.  I also enjoy exercising, playing sports, remaining active in my community and church, and spending time with my beautiful wife Tracey and our 3 children Madilyn, Mason, and Jovahn.
